Conclusion of the preparatory phase

With a report on the preparatory phase the first milestone of the İNPUT Project has been reached. The operational basis is given for a promissing implementation of the transnational and transregional co-operation network during 2011 to 2013.

Promotion of the European Life Assistant

At an international conference in Rome the vocation of a “European Food Assistant” is presented. As part of a Leonardo Da Vinci programme for transfer of innovation, project partners from France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Spain have checked for international transferibility some multiannual experiences with hands-on trainings in the field of personal and household services. An appropriate common European curriculum has been developed. The testing of the newly developed training programme, addressing especially less educated people with and without migration background, is currently prepared successfully in several European locations. The centerpiece is a “standardized” learning home, allowing a realistic training. The Training Kit – curricula, teaching materials, visual aids, video sequences, evaluation forms, test methods and completion certificate – is initially available in seven European languages. The responsibility for the German version and the coordination of local project partners in Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria is hold by enaip and acli e. V.

Working meeting at the Ministry

In a meeting at the Ministry for work, social affairs, families and senior citizens of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg Mr. Norbert Kreuzkamp and Mr. Giuseppe Tabbì report on the ongoing successful project work and the intention to continue the implementation involving the “ACLI — Selbsthilfewerk fuer interkulturelle Arbeit e. V.” in Stuttgart as project manager for the implementation phase starting in 2011.

Transnational Conference on Active Ageing

Workforces are getting older. In all European countries, companies, social partners, government and society are facing new challenges: employability of elderly people, age and ageing adequate work, transitions from work into retirement, the situation of elderly migrants. An exchange in the European network on experiences, strategies and models is on the agenda. In cooperation with the Eberhard Karls University of Tuebingen, enaip coordinates and leads to the trans-regional network. As regional partners in Baden-Wuerttemberg the following organisations are involved: the ACLI, the German Trade Union Federation (DGB), the Protestant Academy Bad Boll, the Catholic workers’ movement and the Catholic Worker’s Pastoral. Furthermore, social partner organisations from Croatia, France, Italy, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom contribute to the network of experts.

Good practice of partnership Youth Social Work

The growing challenge of outreach, short-range-based and participatory work with young people at risk of social exclusion is common to many players in Europe. World economic crisis and the crisis of public budgets increasingly puts under preassure the yet reached standards. Relevant actors from Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain had gathered in a tight exchange and mutual evaluation process, examples of good practice. Appropriate recommendations are presented to the public in the European Conference in Granada. The responsibility for the German version is supported by enaip.

7. Stuttgarter Jugendinfomesse “ich muss weg”

Stuttgarter Rathaus, 4. bis 5. Mai 2010 — Die 7. Jugendinfomesse bietet Schülerinnen und Schülern und ihren Eltern die Möglichkeit, sich über Auslandsaufenthalte zu informieren, Anbieter und Organisationen kennen zu lernen und sich beraten zu lassen. Die Messe Stuttgarter Akteure bietet Informationen zu Jobs, Praktika, Studium, Workcamps, AuPair, Schuljahresaufenthalte, Freiwilligendiensten und vieles mehr. Die Besucher der Messe haben außerdem Gelegenheit, junge Menschen zu treffen, die über ihre Auslandserfahrungen berichten werden. Wir sind auch dieses Jahr wieder auf der Messe präsent. Barbara Bassi, Francesco Sansonetti und Norbert Kreuzkamp stehen jungen Leuten auf der zweitägigen Messe als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung.
